7 Survival Ideas You Never Thought About
Thankfully, one of the most important lessons I learned early in my prepping journey, is to not get smug and think you know it all. I quickly found out I had a lot to learn.
So I love it when I come upon articles like this from the Suburban Steader. All seven of their ideas are good and I’ve heard of most of them, but I was delighted at one I had never heard of. Probably most of you have, but if you’re like me and hadn’t thought of this one, check out Number 3.
Idea #3: A Family Photo…That Hides A Secret
“Let’s say you buried some of your valuables somewhere on your property. You obviously want to remember exactly where that place is but you don’t want to write it down or leave any marks or clues. How do create a reminder so that only you and your immediate family know the exact location?
Easy. Just take a photo of your loved ones standing on the exact same spot where you’re supposed to dig. Make copies of the photo and have everyone keep it in their wallets and bug out bags. No one will ever know or guess the true purpose of those photos.”
Pretty cool, eh?
Be sure and check out their other suggestions too.
Sorry for no post yesterday. I spent the entire day trying to salvage a 13 year old washing machine to no avail. I had to give up and buy a new one and as I handed over the money, I couldn’t help thinking about all the supplies or gear I could have bought. Sigh. But, if I want to keep momma on board with my prepping plans, I have to keep her happy. For it is written, “If momma ain’t happy, nobody’s happy.”
