Another Day, Another Terror Attack. Do You Have an EDC?
Do you even know what and EDC is? EDC and EDC bag stands for everyday carry.
You many not be interested in current events, world events or even politics, but as the old saying goes “You may not be interested in politics, but politics is interested in you.” The same applies to terrorism.
Terrorists don’t care who you are, what you’re doing or even if you’re innocent. In fact, being innocent to them is a bonus because it helps their cause – spreading terror. Or at least that’s how they see it. And don’t think for a minute that you are immune. Don’t travel far? The people in London on 7/7 were just on a bus going to work. A lot of the Boston runners were local people. Some of those killed today in Brussels were ordinary workers working in the terminal. Every day and around the world we see not one, but multiple terror attacks. Sure, you may never be a victim but you want to bet on it? And if you are a victim or there are victims around you, what can you do?
First, realise that you are probably carrying some everyday items than can be used in an emergency situation. Survivopedia has an article on just such items.
Second, learn how to use these items. Better yet, take a Red Cross first aid course. If you don’t save your life, you may save the life of a loved one.
Third, research EDC and EDC bags and find things that are appropriate to you. You can search Google, YouTube and Pinterest, to find hundreds of suggestions.
What ever you do, do it today – right now if you can!
