First Aid Kit on a Budget
How do you start a First Aid Kit if you’re on a tight budget? Like most things in situations like this I think it helps to prioritize. Also, buy generic as they are usualy as good as name brand items. Besides, they will do if it’s all you can afford. So let’s get started.
3 Things you are most likely to die from.
- Upper resperitory infection
- Wounds or loss of skin integrity
These are the 3 things you are most likely to die from in an emergency situation; upper resperitory infections can lead to pneumonia; diarrhea leads to deyhdration and wounds can get infected. So let’s look at what you need to stock in order to build your First Aid Kit on a budget.
Upper Resperitory Infections
Here’s a list of what you’re going to need:
- Mucinex for mucus relief
- Apple cider venigar
- small flashlight
Wound and Skin Care

This post was inspired by The Patriot Nurse. If you really want to learn about and how to stock up on first aid items, she’s the lady to go to. You can find her website and links to her Youtube channel here. She has very clear and concise videos, explains what the products are used for, explains their alternate uses and tells you where you can buy them online cheaply. One online source she mentions often is ShopMed.com
