Threat Matrix – Why You Need One Now!
The hardest thing for new preppers is knowing where to start! There’s just so much information, so much to do and there are costs to consider. How do you prioritize what to do first?
For seasoned preppers, situations change all the time; finances; disasters and even politics can alter your plans. When one sits down and starts to contemplate which threats they face and how they should prepare for them, it’s easy to get sidetracked or overwhelmed.
Wouldn’t it be great if there was a tool, that could quantify all this information, give you a numerical score, and let you see at one glance what your number one threat is? Where you are weak in your planning? Display to you threats you hadn’t even thought about? Helped you prioritize your plans? There is. It’s called a Threat Matrix.
I’ve put together several business plans in the past and they all had a Threat Matrix included. This is done BEFORE the business even begins. This ensures you’ve identified all your threats, weaknesses and have prioritized your plans to address these. Around the world and every day, governments, militarises, corporations and businesses use a Threat Matrix to ensure their survival. Shouldn’t you?
What is a Threat Matrix?
Ok, so what is a Threat Matrix? For our purposes a simple Threat Matrix is a piece of paper with columns and rows. Down the left most columns you write what you consider threats; flood; job loss; fire; tornado; etc. In subsequent columns you list probablility, severity, onset and priority. Sound complicated? Don’t worry, the folks over at Preppers Will explain it all and show you exactly how to make your own. When you’re done, all your threats will be assigned a numerical score and you can immediately see at a glance what your highest priority is. If you are familiar with Excel spreadsheets, you can already see the beauty of this – one click and Excel will rearrange the threats with the greatest at the top.
Whether you’re a new prepper or a seasoned one, there is no one size fits all prepping plan for everyone. Everyone’s circumstances are unique and you need to plan accordingly. However, a Threat Matrix is a single tool everyone can use to tailor their prepping plans to their unique situation.
Why not create your own right now?
